Custom Centerpieces for your Table

The Thanksgiving holiday holds many traditions, but none is as anticipated as the meal itself. From our favorite foods to our favorite people, gathering around the holiday table is the high point of the celebration. If you are looking for beautiful new centerpieces to adorn your table this year, look no further than Bice’s Florist. We have been a Fort Worth tradition for over 40 years, and we have the holiday floral designs that will make your Thanksgiving a beautiful occasion.

What’s for Dinner?

centerpiecesThanksgiving is one meal that is fairly consistent across the country. Although there may be some variations, most people sit down to turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole and stuffing. Interestingly, in a recent poll regarding our favorite Thanksgiving foods, the turkey came in at number 10, while the top spot was reserved for – of course – pie!

Another commonality across the country is our choice of Thanksgiving centerpiece, at least when it comes to color. The traditional browns, reds, and yellows of the season comprise our most popular floral designs for the Thanksgiving table, with sunflowers, asters, carnations, roses and lilies providing the vivid hues. Fall elements such as foliage, wheat, and twigs add to the natural and customary aesthetic of these designs. Cornucopias are also a beloved tradition to adorn our holiday meals.

Why a Cornucopia?

A cornucopia is a horn-shaped wicker basket which is filled with various seasonal fruits and vegetables. Although we associate it with Thanksgiving, it was actually evident as far back as ancient Greek culture. It is always used as a symbol of agricultural plenty.

Centerpieces are the focal point of your holiday table- so if your family decoration has seen better days, choose this year to start a new tradition and upgrade to a fresh floral centerpiece from Bice’s Florist. Your table will never look more beautiful. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
