Showing Off Spring’s Snazziest Blooms

Of all the wonderful things that spring bestows, our favorite here at Bice’s Florist has to got to be its flowers. It’s no stretch to say that we wait all year for them, such is the power of the blooms we traditionally associate with spring. Crocus, lilac, hyacinth, tulip, azalea, hydrangea . . . We could go on, but we won’t. Allow us just to show you what spring, in flowers, looks like.

We just want to be straightforward about this, so to that end, we’ve created Springtime Blooms. Its a rectangular glass container full of spring’s brightest, most symbolic flowers, including buttercup-yellow roses and tulips, green button mums and an unfurling cloud of blue hydrangea. The whole look is light, bright and cheerful. It’s like a palate cleanser for your eyes.

Blue hydrangea, yellow tulips and more in a long glass cube vase.

This looks lovely on a long kitchen counter or down a dining room table, and suggests to everyone who sees it (and smells it) that the garden will be blooming soon, that the days will get longer, that there are blue skies ahead. We love the exposed roots and stalks, too. It makes us think of things growing from the earth, and that’s what spring is about.
