Flowers That Showcase Pantone’s Color Of The Year

We here at Bice’s Florist are excited to work with Pantone’s 2018 Color Of The Year, Ultra Violet, an intriguing choice. If you didn’t already know, color company Pantone convenes every year at a new international location, bringing the best minds on color together to select one emblematic shade. The idea is that the color chosen really captures the spirit of the times and possibly makes a projection about the year ahead. Ultra Violet, a majestic, cosmic shade, is meant to say a lot about who we are now and where we’re going.

And lucky for us, it looks amazing when expressed by flowers. While it’s true it’s still a fairly rare shade when it comes to florals, there are some distinct blooms that showcase it and show off its versatility. Take our Say it With Color design, a master study in how to make purple delicate, even quiet.

Ultra Violet is here, along with several other purple hues in a sweet, graceful cluster. If you thought purple might be demanding and loud, here’s a case where it can seem light and clean. And based on Pantone crowning it this year’s “It” color, we expect to see a lot more of it in a range of different ways. The excellent news is that it has more flexibility as a color than you might have originally thought, so don’t be afraid to try it in flowers.
