Jason Witten's S.C.O.R.E. Foundationexists to provide support and assistance for those families and individuals affected by domestic violence. The foundation seeks to aid the recovery of those who have been victims of abuse, and to break the cycle of violence through educational and mentoring programs.
Witten formed the new foundation, which stands for "Support. Community. Overcome. Rebuild. Educate," in order to benefit and support families in crisis, with the goal to help these families overcome hardship and rebuild their lives.
"I am very excited to be in a position to start this foundation," said Witten. "There are families in crisis all over the country, and this organization is going to be devoted to helping get some of these families back on track. One big part of that is educating the kids affected by domestic violence and other issues and helping them to break the cycle. It's important to let them know there is hope, and I am certainly in a unique position to be able to provide them with a slice of that."
